Crossed back into South Africa at the small and shock horror, friendly border of Noordoewer/Vioolsdrif. Immigration officer asked “Have you got my love letter?” meaning the form you need to get stamped by the three branches (Immigration, Customs & Police) before you can enter SA. What…an immigration officer with a sense of humour…should have him stuffed and mounted as an example of “good practice”
Then on to Springbok in Namaqualand where the wild flowers were out in full bloom! Zzzzzzzzzz! WORLD FAMOUS?? Beautiful purples, oranges and yellow and obviously the flowers have a symbiotic relationship with the flies which soon coated the windscreen of LR with no name.
