Orupembe Police Station 19th August
After driving along some awful roads….stunning scenery Clare!. (if only I could lift my head up from concentrating on the track for a second!).. ended up staying at Orupembe police station (in the compound and not in the cells) as we had come across it after driving along a river bed in the dark and had spotted the lights. We had planned to stay at a campsite, but it had closed down and so the friendly Namibian police ended up taking us in. It was Saturday night and to judge by the empties and general merriment they were off duty. Left early the next morning to head to Ondongo Hot Springs.
